Privacy and security of personal health information is taken seriously at BHN. In order to keep faith with and maintain the trust of patients, clinical and business partners and the general public, BHN will assure the confidentiality, integrity and secure accessibility of their information as a matter of basic business practice and to comply with Federal HIPAA standards.

It is the intent of BHN to ensure that HIPAA Rules and/or privacy/security policies and procedures are followed and enforced. As a demonstration of best practice, a privacy and security compliance audit is performed on a quarterly basis. The audit is submitted for review to the HIPAA Committee during scheduled meetings. Any issues identified will be acted upon without delay.
